Cut the pumpkin shape, and then the face from the felt.

We will actually need two pumpkin shapes for this project; one for the front, and another for the backing. I free-handed a pumpkin shape onto my orange felt with a marker, then cut out the black and orange at the same time. Don't include the stem of the pumpkin.

When you have your pumpkin shapes cut, it's time to decide what kind of face your jack'o lantern pin will have. Silly, scary, or cute? I went with the traditional triangle eyes and spacious teeth. Cut out these shapes from the orange felt only.
