3. The Sarah Palin Pumps

Any nice pumps will work, but you will do well to stick with black or red. Palin may be a Washington outsider, but she is certainly in the know when it comes to shoes. Wear a rounded toe and a nice, tall heel. A low heel and frumpy square toe won't do.

4. Suit up Sarah!

The number one rule about a Sarah Palin suit is to stick to the skirt. Pants suits scream Hillary Clinton, not the outwardly feminine look of Sarah Palin. Choose a pencil skirt. Stay away from skirts that flow or flop when you walk. The jacket on the suit should fit snugly, and wear a white shirt underneath. Large buttons on the jacket are a plus.


For the accessories, an American flag pin is a must-have on your lapel. Wear simple hoop earrings and a gold chain or pearl necklace.
