This month, we've been talking with Jonathan Peacock, CEO of Zibbet.com. So far, he's told us about where Zibbet came from, why it's so delicious, how the Zibbet.com community works together, and what kind of wine goes best with a big hunk of Zibbet. This week, he's back with some advice on how handmade sellers can succeed in the online marketplace.

Jonathan: So you've taken the plunge and set up your very own online storefront on Zibbet. It looks so pretty with your nice big banner, beautifully photographed items and your perfectly crafted descriptions - but, now what?!

Well, the best thing about being a part of Zibbet, is that your a part of a marketplace that has in-built buyer traffic already browsing the site to buy from our 1000's of independent artisans like yourself. And, all of your items are automatically fed out to TheFind and Google Shopping, two of the biggest online shopping destinations. Plus, each item you list is indexed by Google and other search engines, so that when people search for the things you sell, they'll arrive in your Zibbet shop.

However, there are things that you can do to help increase your shop traffic - and ultimately - your sales. Our Success on Zibbet blog column is a great resource for sellers to learn little tips and tricks to do just that. For example: learn about the Power of Pinterest, how to get free business cards as a Zibbet member, the importance of branding, how-to build a following in your social networks, and how-to improve your SEO.

If you really want to increase your sales, you're going to have to work for it. Online selling isn't easy, but if you're willing to put in the time and effort required, you'll reap the rewards!

Thanks, Jonathan, for helping us throughout Zibbet Month here on DIY Fashion. I feel like our readers have a better idea of what Zibbet is all about, and we've seen some great work by artisans from the Zibbet community.

After realizing how much i spend each month on etsy in selling fees, listing fees and re-listing fees, i came across zibbet.
i have started for one day with the free shop setup.
next day i have had great sales and more than the year fee is for the premium membership.

so i went for that whole package.
79 bucks and i i all set.

i have to admit, i dont regrett to leave etsy and selling now on zibbet.
sales are great, traffic is ok.
i am on the lazy site for going much around and advertise.
but i do make a FULL living on there. i am pleased nad i dont have to roll my eyes anymore looking at the feeeees.

if you want a good shop venue for your business, i can just highly recommend zibbet.

The support to sellers from the Zibbet staff and community is fantastic. I had shops on 2 other sites before finding Zibbet. Those others shops are history, and Zibbet now is home to my online sales.
