What I Made
A beautiful pendant with labradorite and nickel silver colored leather, inspired by silver jewelry
How I Made it
I bezelled a beautiful rose-cut labradorite cabochon with Japanese glass beads and I attached it to a hand-cut arabesque leather leaf form. I added a few Czech glass beads and I attached another layer of leather, then added a glass drop and a simple chain necklace.
I planned to get a similar pendant made for me by a silversmith, but I was not sure my design would look good, so I made this pendant as a test piece, and I fell in love with it :)
Tips and Tricks
- I used a labradorite cabochon, I love it for its beautiful blue flash, but it would look great with gemstones of other colors too. Leather of bronze or gold color would look great too.
