Connecticut Renaissance Festivals and Faires

Connecticut renaissance festivals and faires are a great place to show off your handmade medieval garb and accessories. These are listed by date they occur. Dates are not exact because they change every year, check the official festival websites for exact dates, times and admission rates.

1. ISD Renaissance Festival

The Queen of England, Elizabeth Tudor, is on progress searching throughout the realm for a champion. This champion must embody all of the chivalric ideas, honesty, bravery, courage, wit, honor and intellect. All subjects may try, from the highest born lord to the lowest base peasant, to win the right to be the Champion of England. Many small contests will pit the contestants against each other testing both their skill and wits. The main contest will be a human chess match where living chess pieces battle for each square and have the chance to oust their competitors.

2. Somers Shakespearean Renaissance Festival

A full weekend of merriment in pastoral Somers, Connecticut. Pig roast, Interactive village. Mead-Drinking contests- barber-leeching- and other unique village offerings.

3. Southern Connecticut Renaissance Festival

The SCRF is held at Warsaw Park, in Ansonia, Connecticut. This beautiful 38-acre park in Southern Connecticut is filled with lots of grass, trees and shade.

As in the past, we will again have a Night Faire by candlelight! We are the only faire on the East Coast to do faire at night!

4. The Connecticut Renaissance Faire
