Paris has been busy trying out headbands from all over the world, lately. Here, she is looking lovely in this thick headband and short-cropped hair that brings back visions of the flapper days.

For this headband, you will need to make a stiff circular frame for the ribbon. Measure around your head. Cut out a piece of thin cardboard that is 1" longer than your head measurement and 1 1/2" tall. The cardboard from a cereal box would work well for this.

Get your hands on a piece of ribbon that is at least 3" tall. Cut a piece that is as long as your cardboard piece + 1/2". Lay the ribbon down flat and place the cardboard in the middle. Fold the edges of the ribbon over the cardboard so that the edges of the ribbon meet in the middle. Pin in place.

Use a matching thread color to lightly stitch the ends of the ribbon together. This will be the inside of your headband. When it's all stitched up, curve your headband until the ends meet. You should have a 1/4" of material to use at each end. Fold in this material and stitch together so that the cardboard and ribbon forms a circle.

Add a large beaded embellishment or feather from the craft store.
