How-To Zombie Makeup

Zombie Makeup

There are many variations of the zombie look.

Rain Blanken
Zombies. One reason they are so frightening is because they are us. I love this costume because everyone has a different inner-zombie. Here are the basics of zombie makeup so that you can create your own signature zombie look.

For this makeup, we used Mehron's Zombie Character Kit. I recommend this kit because it included liquid latex, blood, and a color wheel of great bruise colors.

  • Fake skin mixture - Use flour & water to make this fake skin to replace liquid latex in a pinch.
  • Cream face paint in red, blue or purple, yellow and green.
  • Fake blood - Make your own fake blood using everyday kitchen items.
  • Paintbrush and Q-tips.
  • Stipple sponge. Use a bath loofa or scouring pad if you don't have a stipple sponge.
Once you have your supplies, let's get started.
