Turn the shirt right-side-out. Thread your drawstring through the newly made collar. Put the shirt on and scrunch the collar down the drawstring and tie it around your neck.

Turn the shirt over. Fold over the top of the front of the shirt about 1". Sew a straight stitch along the fold, about a 1/4" from the edge. This will be the casing for your drawstring.
