Punch Grommets

Corset Top Instructions

Punch grommets along the back.

Rain Blanken
Grommet punches are cheap and easy to find at most department and craft stores. You can use large or small grommets for this project, whichever you prefer.

Estimate how many times you want the ribbon to cross over your back. For a more elaborate look, have it cross over many times. Lay your grommets out on the side of your top to help visualize. Punch the same number of grommets on each side.

Alternately, you can stitch small loops of ribbon down the back to hold your lacing. This is a good substitute if you don't have a grommet punch or want a softer look.

Make sure that your grommets or loops of ribbon are the same distance apart on each side. Next, we will lace up the back and add extras.
