- Tie 1 1/2" worth of square knots. Add a small bead.
- Tie 1 1/2" worth of square knots. Add a small bead.
- Tie only 1/2" worth of square knots. Stop.
You should now have about 6 1/2" of your necklace knotted and beaded. Get in front of a mirror and make sure that you are at your halfway point by placing the keyring at the center back of your neck. Does the end of the necklace stop around the center of the front of your neck? If it is too short, make more square knots until you are happy with the midpoint. Remember that you will need to mirror this many square knots after you add the pendant.
Now you are at the middle of the necklace and ready to add the pendant.
