Place the pans into the oven and wait between 3-4 minutes. Check on your bag every minute or so to see how it's doing. If it starts to crackle too much, then it's time to take it out. Never put a bag in the over without closing it in the cookie sheets. For more of a crackle effect, cook the bag a little longer, checking on it often.
When it is finished, wear oven mitts to take the pans out of the oven. Remove the top pan. Run cold water over the potato chip bag on the pan to make sure it won’t stick to the bottom.
