Start with a strip of fabric that is 13“ high for a floppy-eared bunny hat. For a hat with smaller ‘bear’ ears, the height should be 10” - 11”. The width of the fabric will be determined by the size of your head. Use a measuring tape to measure just above your ears, all around your head. A typical size for a woman’s hat is 22”. Add 1/2" for seam allowance.
Fold the fabric in half, with right sides together. Next, we will cut the ears.
