A tackle box may sound like a non-conventional DIY tool, but they pack a punch when it comes to storage. Tackle boxes often have large spaces in the bottom that can hold items like your scissors, pincushion, and measuring tape. They also have a mid-sized tray that is perfect for items like tweezers, safety pins, and markers. On top, a tackle box will have lots of places for little things such as buttons, pins or beads. It is the perfect place to keep your organized.
Many craft stores sell cute sewing boxes like these, but I find the most useful to be in the fishing section at any department or camping store. Tackle boxes often have more adjustable compartments and come at a much lower price! Get one that latches securely so that your supplies don’t end up on the floor.
You can always decorate your tackle box too with your favorite stickers or decoupage designs. See more information on tackle and sewing boxes.
