Glue Gun

glue gun

A glue gun is cheap and endlessly handy.

Have your glue gun and plenty of ammunition at the ready! A glue gun can provide a strong hold that dries quickly and stays put. Simply heat, aim and fire at those no-sew projects. A glue gun can bond plastic, metal, wood and fabrics together, and the flow of the glue is easy to control. After plugging it in, glue guns can heat up and be ready to use in 2-5 minutes. When applying the glue, make droplets that resemble chocolate chips to prevent the glue from stringing away from the target area.

When using a glue gun, you can get burnt! To avoid this, keep your fingers away from the metal tip, and be sure to not touch the liquid glue for at least 5 seconds after it is applied. Between applications, set your glue gun on a piece of cardboard or newspaper to prevent glue spillage in your work area. A glue gun is small and easy to store in a cool dry place. Glue sticks store well in a plastic zipper bag.

Glue guns and glue sticks are cheap and easy to find at department and craft stores. See more information on how to use glue guns.
