Put the record inside of the bowl and press it against the sides of the bowl. As you press, the record will fold over itself and take on the bowl shape.
If you mess up, simply turn the bowl back over, perch the record on top and heat it up for a few more minutes so that it is soft enough for you to try again.
Do not cook the record inside of a bowl that you are going to use to eat out of later. Always turn the bowl up-side down when you are heating the record. The PVC elements in the record can leave a toxic residue on the bowl. You probably don't want that.
You can use your record bowl to keep wrapped candy, makeup, or jewelry in. Place a record tray under a 50's style Barbie jewelry organizer to keep your little rings and earrings in. I do not recommend eating out of this bowl because it's made out of PVC.
