I had a bag from the Lego store that I saved from a recent family trip to Disney World. Since I wanted to fuse plastic and keep the logo, I needed to figure out how to iron over printed plastic without burning up the print.

Cut up a zippered sandwich bag along the top and the sides to create one long piece of plastic. Lay it out over the printed portion of the bag and iron for only a few seconds. I've found that sandwich bag plastic doesn't take much heat to stay.

After you've ironed, pick at the edge of the plastic bag to make sure you've got a good seal.

Fusing plastic bags is a great way to recycle and has lots of possibility for creativity. You can use your fused bag material to make a zippered bag like I did, or any project that required flat material.
