I had an old ring that needed to come out of the bottom of my jewelry box, and with a little bit of decoupage varnish, I was able to give it a face lift. Decoupage is cheap and easy, requiring few supplies.

You don't need to spend a lot of money to get a compact with your favorite character, movie star or logo on it. Decoupage only requires a bottle of glue and a paint brush, and leaves you with a durable an unique accessory.
