A Look at Your Possibilities

Decoupage Case

Make sure you have the right stuff for the job.

You may already have a project in mind, but I wanted to take a second to give you a few ideas about what you can use to make a fabulous decoupage case.

For my case, I am putting a tourist trap theme on a $.50 metal filing case that I got a the local Goodwill. My sister loves visiting all those weird places along Midwest highways that try to draw people in with odd billboards and strange promises of skeletons and two-headed cows. Lucky for me, these brochures and maps were absolutely free at the truck stops and rest areas we visited while traveling through the area last year.

What a great way to recycle. I may have bought my case, but you can also use a gift box saved from Christmas, an old jewelry box, a beat-up suitcase...anything in need of a face lift. A few rules are to make sure that it is a hard surface that won't bend easily, and no bumpy surfaces.

Okay, now that we have that straight, let's get to slapping some glue on this baby.
