- Break a clothes hanger in half. You can do this easily by repeatedly bending it in the middle until it snaps. Bend each side into a bow shape.
- Lay one bow on your sheer fabric. Cut a jagged shape that will drape nicely from the hanger. Cut along the curve of the hanger, too. You should end up with a jagged shape as in the picture to the right. Hot glue the upper edge of the fabric along the hanger. Repeat for the other wing.
- Twist the hangers together at the ends. You may need pliers to do this. Wrap the ends of the hangers with more of the sheer fabric or a coordinating fabric.
- Attach two lengths of ribbon where the hangers meet to hang the wings at your shoulders. Thick ribbon works best, or you can twist together many pieces of thin ribbon.
