For a snuggly quilt, you'll need to add batting and a back. Batting is like a flat stuffing; it's what makes a quilt soft and warm. The 'backing' is simply the large rectangle that makes up the entire back of the quilt.

To finish, you will need to make a batting sandwich out of the front and back of the quilt. Janet Wickell, our expert Guide to Quilting can show you how to make your snuggly sandwich. She has some great information on reversible quilts, which batting to use, and some tips on making any quilt look spectacular.

Have you make a t-shirt quilt? We'd love to see it! Upload a photo and tell us all about your project.
