DIY Glamour for Mardi Gras

By February 12, 2013

Follow me on:

It's Fat Tuesday, and that means half the country is living it up with music, beads and libations. The costumes, of course, are my favorite part of the celebration.

Need a little inspiration? Check out gallery of Mardi Gras Costume Ideas, including masks, color themes and crazy characters.

If you want to work a mask into your costume, but you don't have one to decorate, I can show you How to Make a Mardi Gras Mask using just newspaper, flour and a bit of school glue.

Need some Fat Tuesday symbols to adorn your dress? Try these free Mardi Gras Stencils that I've designed for you to print out and use for your projects. These are great for spray paint stencils, fabric markers or even screen printing.

If you're celebrating in a pinch, print a last-minute Mardi Gras hat. My full-color party hats are ready to print and decorate. I'll even show you how to adorn them with feathers, ribbon and glitter with the Party Hat Decorating tutorial.

Now get out there and strut your stuff. Test your limits and have a wild time, but remember to be safe about it.
