"Bowties are cool" - the 11th Doctor

A crisp bowtie can add an instant air of authority and refinement to a well-dressed gentleman. Since practically no one knows how to tie one anymore, the bow tie has retained a fairly sophisticated status. Well, thanks to me and the internet, any Hobo Joe can wear a tidy bowtie and glean some of that know-it-all persona for their own.
Like my grandma used to say, if it's good enough for Tom Hanks, Trent Reznor, and Bill Nye the Science Guy, it's good enough for you! Then again, Colonel Sanders also wore a bow tie, so I guess it's your call.
Even Kung Fu Pandas wear bow ties.
