It's tough for me, cruising the mall.
I spot, for instance, this sweater at Hollister. It is their Santa Monica sweater; gray and white striped with a set of messy fabric flowers near the collar. I didn't agree with the price, but my friend bought the sweater so I could at least nab a photo later.
Cute, yes, but forty five bucks worth of cute? Nah. Especially when I know how easy it would be to simply make a few fabric flowers and tack them onto a thrift store sweater.
