The seasonal Halloween stores have arrived in my area and with them, the overpriced bags of rags. I say 'bags of rags' because basically, the 'Nymphs of the Seasons' costume is $60.00 worth of scrap fabric.

You can make this costume yourself very easily at home by getting creative with a tank top, skirt, fake flowers and shimmery fabric. Here are a few fairy instructionals:

I’ll have to point my daughter to your site, for wood nymph ideas. She has about a 2 yard piece of 1/4 inch stripe in forest colors, that is a knobby sort of heavy, stretchy, cordlike fabric, which she draped around her toga fashion, making intersting tree bark like foldsfolds. The idea was to blend in and disappear into the texture forest style, it worked pretty well.
