Helping the Economy through Local Purchases
Wednesday July 16, 2008
With the success of mega-department stores like Wal-Mart, there are a lot of people complaining that not enough goods are bought locally. In America, our economy is not in the best shape right now, which means that we should be selling and buying more to ourselves to keep cash flowing in our nation.
When you buy goods that are made in China, your dollar leaves America to live elsewhere. You can do your part keep your dollars in the American economy when you buy clothing, jewelry and accessories made by DIY people just like you.

Great photo. And I agree entirely. To resurrect our economy we have to support small business.
Hurray for crafters, creators, designers, and those who are simply willing to do it themselves! And what a grandly happy photo!
I love this post Rain. I’m 100% for buying local or from small businesses whenever possible. (Hence my “Indie Tuesday” feature.)
My in-laws own their own print shop that is right across from Kinkos. They’ve been in business for over 30 years thanks to the local mindset.
Yay for Indie crafters and business owners.
I love that photo too!
